A few words about how it all began, what led us to what we do, and what brought us to where we are now.
1971
How it all started?
My father, Vašek Macháň, emigrated to the Netherlands and opened a workshop in the Sloten area of Amsterdam. Initially, he serviced all cars that needed repairs, but over time, it quickly became apparent which cars were the best. Cars that surpassed their time with their engineering. Cars where every component is repairable, and adjustable mechanically. Simple cars, timeless in design. Mercedes Benz - an icon of its era.
1989

The fall of communism opened the borders. Home is home, so he returns to the Czech Republic. At that time, not many people were familiar with Western cars, so more and more Mercedes cars were brought to us for repair at home. The first Mercedes branches, as we know them today, did not exist at that time, so "stars" started to gather in front of our house in the village. It took a while after the revolution before Mercedes Benz dealerships were established.
1991

The company ACM is founded, an auto service for all brands. With foreign experience and expertise in repairing and servicing Western cars, a new market emerges. The company expands, and the distribution channels of the Netherlands satisfy the demand for car parts. The new headquarters provide sufficient support.
2004

As a young boy back then, I used to visit my dad's workshop, witnessing the magic where every single task had its own preparation, a predetermined procedure. Everything was done meticulously. Everything had its time. One Mercedes next to another. Each receiving exactly what it needed. The company's main specialization began to be the repair of automatic transmissions. Mostly Mercedes, but also other types. Employees travelled around the world for training, especially to the Netherlands, and I was absolutely fascinated by the technical solutions implemented in cars. I was completely drawn to this field.
2021

Everything changes. My dad unexpectedly passed away, and I can't shake the thought that it should end. On the contrary. Even though I'm an aerospace engineer and spend most of my time in aeroplanes, my passion for cars is so strong that I can't resist it. I grew up among cars. I love it. After my dad, I find a lot of tools for Mercedes. The nostalgia for those things always touches me. After all, those tools were used on cars that were manufactured 50 years ago! I dive into it and start with renovations. Even if it's just for a few people, a few enthusiasts will appreciate it. It makes sense.

After several Mercedes repairs, I decided to start a company. With the desire to continue this legacy, material resources, and an absolute passion for these machines, I established myself where amazing things have always originated. I search for original manuals, new tools, and equipment to take it all to a new level. Precision and patience are my domain, and while others are done, I spend hours on details that may not be as important to others but are to me. Following the prescribed procedures of the 70s and 80s. Thanks to access to the dealership's online parts catalogue with only original parts. For those that are no longer manufactured, I seek worldwide just to preserve the original spirit of the Mercedes brand. Nothing else deserves it.
Our goal is to offer people renovations, sales, and servicing of classic cars and youngtimers. Uniquely designed and manufactured cars that still fascinate people today. Cars that were driven by J.R. Ewing in the series Dallas, Hollywood legend Steve McQueen, or Elvis Presley.

Nejdříve jsem zvažoval jestli jet za pánem takovou vzdálenost, ale nakonec jsem jel. Renovace mé 116 se povedla a na všem se s pánem dá domluvit. Dělá od běžného servisu po delší renovace a auto zkrátka dostane co potřebuje.
